Jesse Gonzalez Jr.

Jesse was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church. He proudly served in the US Army in 1949 until 1956. Jesse enjoyed being around family and traveling. He will be remembered as being a strong and prideful man with the biggest heart. He will truly be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Sarah O. Gonzalez; and his son, Gilbert Salazar.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Mona Salazar, Edward Salazar, and Carrie Trevino; great grandchildren, Erica Castilleja, Emilee Castilleja, Alyss Rodriguez, Omar Salazar, Dominic Moore, and Reina Ryals; and great-great grandson, Zeke Rubio.

A Public Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 31, from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Zoeller Funeral Home, with a Rosary held at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, June 1, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in San Antonio.
