Jody Corbin, 90, of New Braunfels, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, after a short illness. She was a loving mother, grandma and sister. She was born on September 14, 1935, in Wisner Nebraska to Ross and Helen Butterfield.
The family moved to Texas when she was three years old. Jody graduated from Roy Miller High School in Corpus Christi in 1954. She married Freddie Corbin in February 1957. They had one son Johnny Corbin.
Jody lived in Alice, Texas for many years where she served on the boards of the Jim Wells County Fair and the Alice Youth Rodeo Association. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Alice and gave her life to the Lord there. She moved to New Braunfels in 1994 to be close to her son and family. As a member of First Baptist Church New Braunfels, she enjoyed the senior ministry, AWOL, the 42 tournaments and her Sunday School Class. Jody also volunteered at the Hope Hospice Thrift Store for many years.
She loved being involved in her grandchildren’s lives. Taking them to practice and going to their activities. She really enjoyed their baseball and volleyball games, even though her eyesight was limited she was always there cheering them on.
Jody is survived by her sister Shirley Busker (99), Son Johnny Corbin (Jana), Grandchildren Asa Gaddy (Sharon), Cade Gaddy (Kyleigh), Grace Corbin, Hayden Corbin, six great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
