Juana Salgado Ayala

Our loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Juana Salgado Ayala passed away on August 8, 2021, in San Antonio, TX at the age of 79. She was born on August 24, 1941 in Cieniega de Escobar, Mexico.

Juana was proceeded in death by her parents Ponciano Ontiveros and Aristea Salgado Lopez; siblings Cruz and Yonicia; her children Lazaro and Antonio; grandson David Jr. (Nunu). She is survived by Antonio Ayala and children Jesus, Maria Irene, David, Pablo, and Daniel Ayala; son & daughter-in-laws, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; siblings Basilio, Socorro, and Eucebia; and many family members.

Our mother always welcomed everyone into her home in New Braunfels and showed them love through her gift of cooking. She was proud of all that she had accomplished but was at her happiest with family. She loved to travel and experience new places and water her plants. Her “tiendita” was always stocked with all necessities. She will be missed but will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace with our lord Jesus Christ.

Nuestra querida madre, suegra, abuela, hermana, tía, y amiga, Juana Salgado Ayala falleció el 8 de agosto de 2021 en San Antonio, TX a la edad de 79 años. Nació el 24 de agosto de 1941 en Cieniega de Escobar, México.

Juana fue procesada en la muerte por sus padres Ponciano Ontiveros y Aristea Salgado Lopez, sus hermanos Cruz y Yonicia; sus hijos Lázaro y Antonio; y su nieto David Jr. (Nunu). Le sobreviven Antonio Ayala y hijos Jesús, María Irene, David, Pablo y Daniel Ayala; yerno y nueras, 10 nietos, 7 bisnietos; hermanos Basilio, Socorro, y Eucebia; y muchos miembros de la familia.

Nuestra madre siempre dio la bienvenida a todos en su casa en New Braunfels y les mostró amor a través de su don de cocinar. Estaba orgullosa de todo lo que había logrado, pero estaba más feliz con la familia. Le encantaba viajar y conocer nuevos lugares y regar sus plantas. Su “tiendita” siempre estuvo equipada con todo lo necesario. La extrañaremos, pero permanecerá en el corazón de todos los que la conocieron y amaron. Que en paz descanse con nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
