Judy C Anderson lived her life for God and others. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother who portrayed each of those roles to the best of her ability, seeking the Lord’s guidance along the way. Her past several years were dedicated to serving her church family, being a caregiver for her parents and doting over her three beautiful grand-daughters.
In her younger years she displayed a grit and competitiveness (some might say stubbornness!) as a student, musician, tennis player and DQ server (she could make a pretty mean dip cone!). These same qualities served her well in later years as a committed and loving wife, mother, student again (she went back to school to UTSA after having kiddos) and school music teacher. In all of this her anchor was her strong faith that her true home lay beyond this life.
She enjoyed many years together with her husband, Larry, and her children, Chris and Greg. They did many things together including fishing, boating, (until the boat sank!), hunting, camping, skiing, family reunions at Landa Park and many other adventures. After the kids were grown she and Larry developed more of a missions focus, taking trips to Turkey, Peru and Africa.
Judy developed a strong faith in the Lord Jesus over the years. She served in the Tree of Life church in New Braunfels, TX for close to 30 years! 20 of those years were alongside her husband Larry, until his passing. For the past 10 years she has carried on the legacy they created of serving in whatever capacities they felt called to be of help to others.
Judy loved to lift up songs and hymns of praise to her heavenly Father and her King of kings. She encouraged others to do the same. Though we mourn and grieve her loss, we also celebrate and honor the life she lived as she gave selflessly to others. We who place our trust and faith in Jesus Christ have the promise of seeing her again in eternity.
Judy’s prayer and desire would be that everyone who reads or hears this reflection on her life will make the choice to come to know Jesus as she did in order that they too may have the hope of eternal life which she is enjoying now.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry D. Anderson. Survivors include her children, son Chris Anderson, his wife Erin and 2 grand-daughters, Chloe and Amelia, of Chino Hills, CA ; son Greg Anderson, his wife Jenna and grand-daughter Elsa of Seguin, TX.
