Our son Elliott went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 31, 2009. He was a remarkable young man and made us all proud. Elliott was blessed with such a nurturing and loving heart and always had a kind word for all. Elliott was a gentleman. Elliott’s kind heart allowed him to share all that he had with family, friends and those he didn’t even know. Though we only had him for 16 short years, the blessings, love and joy he brought us will last forever. We wish to thank our dear family, friends and neighbors for the outpouring of love, support and prayers that they have shown us during our time of loss. Elliott always had a special place in his heart for those who felt they needed a helping hand. Elliott is survived by his mother and father, Brett and Susan Yates; brothers, Brandon, Benjamin and Evan Yates; grandparents, Sandra D’Antuono, John and Yolanda D”Antuono, Sandra Yates, Morrell Yates and Thomas and Marilyn Elliott; great-grandparents, Norman G. and Marguerite Farmer, Gladys Elliott and Arthur M. Yates; aunts and uncles, Deborah and David Eickenhorst (cousins, Hailey and Kacie Eickenhorst), Richard D’Antuono, Matt Yates, Rob and Heather Elliott-Salazar and Kelly Elliott. Visitation will be on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Oakwood Baptist Church, 2154 Loop 337 N., New Braunfels with funeral services at 4 p.m. at the church. Services will conclude at the Oakwood Baptist Church. We wish to request in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the SAM Ministries on behalf of Elliott. Until we meet again, shine on our Shooting Star.
