Kashton Edwin Keller

Our brave heart warrior, Kashton Edwin Keller, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 in Austin, Texas. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Matthew and Mallory Keller on October 12, 2024.

Warrior; small, but mighty; facial expression aficionado; a maraca mastermind. Those are just a few words and phrases that could be used to describe Kashton during his time here on Earth. Despite the many challenges and speed bumps that he faced, he never gave up. He had a way of making anyone who interacted with him smile. Kashton was an inspiration and made his parents proud daily. Matthew and Mallory loved nothing more in life than the time they got to spend with Kashton and will cherish those memories for the rest of their lives.

Kashton was preceded in death by grandparents, Denise “Nisey” Miller and Edwin “Pops” Keller.

Kashton is survived by his parents, Matthew and Mallory Keller; Grandparents, Kathy “Granny” Keller and Tommy “PawPaw” Miller; Aunts and Uncles, Jessica (David) Dolle; Lindsey (Jason) Herrera; and Hunter (Katie) Miller; Cousins, Ashton, Carsyn, Sydney, Reagan, Taylor, and Logan; and Great-Grandparents, Gerald and Joyce Mathis. In addition, he is survived by numerous extended family members, friends, and medical teams who cared so lovingly for him during his stays at both CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital (San Antonio) and Dell Children’s Medical Center (Austin).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Visitation will be held from 3:00-4:00 p.m. followed by a short service at 4:00 p.m. at the Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that either a donation be made in honor of Kashton to either The Children’s Heart Foundation (childrensheartfoundation.org) or Gavin’s Gift of Grace (gavinsgiftofgrace.org) or plants be given, so that they may be nurtured and to grow in memory of Kashton.
