Kathryn Fitzgerald Massey

Kathryn Lorraine Massey (Kitty), 86, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed from this life on October 27, 2024, in Kilgore, Texas. Kitty was born on April 9, 1938 in Miami, Florida to John Joseph Fitzgerald and Mary Christina Domenichello.

Kitty attended school in Austin, Texas, and worked as an executive assistant at Marathon Oil Company in Houston, Texas for many years where she met her beloved husband, Roy Massey. She was married to Roy in 1979 in Austin Texas.

Kitty is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Massey, who passed from this life on April 9th, 2015. She is also preceded in death by Roy’s youngest son, Paige, and her grandson Max Turner.

Kitty is survived by her three sons, Steven Turner (wife Debbie), Michael Turner, Jeffery Turner (wife Maria), and by her two sisters, Betty Melvin and Sandy Weinstein (husband Bob). She is also survived by Roy’s oldest son, Warren Massey (wife Anita).

In addition, Kitty is survived by twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd from 10am until 11am at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas. Kitty’s funeral/celebration of life service will be held from 11am until 11:30 am at the same location (Zoeller Funeral Home), immediately followed by a brief graveside service at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. A reception will follow at Herbert’s Taco Hut in New Braunfels at approximately 12:30pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Zoeller Funeral Home.
