Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Shelia Hunter Neuse, who was his partner in every sense of the word. He is also survived by his son Keith Neuse, wife Pam, and their sons Kolton and Karson, who brought him tremendous pride and joy. He is further survived by an estranged daughter and grandsons, whom he held in his heart and by his sister, Cary White.
Kenneth’s family circle extended far and wide. He is remembered with love by his step-daughters Christi Brinkman, husband David, Sandy Thomas, husband Joe, and step-son Bryan Hunter, wife Sherry, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who knew him as a steady, dependable presence.
Kenneth grew up in New Braunfels and graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1963. He went on to earn a BBA from Southwest Texas State University in 1968 and later completed an Associate Degree in Insurance Marketing from St. Mary’s University in 1981. Education mattered to him—not for prestige, but because he believed in bettering himself for the sake of his family and his community.
Kenneth proudly served in the United States Army from 1968 until his retirement in 1992. His 24 years of service were marked by dedication, discipline, and a deep sense of duty. He completed numerous advanced courses, including the FA Advanced NCO Course, FA Advanced Target, Medical Field Service School, Basic Chemical Course, Officer/WCO Chemical Course, and the Senior NCO E 8/9 Academy. He carried the values of his military career—honor, loyalty, and responsibility—into every part of his life.
After retiring from the Army, Kenneth built a second career defined by hard work and integrity. He served as Assistant Branch Manager at Southwest Investment Co., worked as a Factory Representative for Dickie Industrial Service, and later became a Local Recording Agent with Neuse Insurance Agency. For 24 years, he worked as an Independent Contractor for Arrow Magnolia, forming lasting relationships and earning the respect of colleagues and customers alike.
Kenneth believed deeply in community. He was an active member of First Protestant Church of New Braunfels, where he served as a Council Member, President of the Church Council, and President of the Congregation. His faith was steady and sincere, and he lived it through service.
He also gave countless hours to local organizations. He served the New Braunfels Elks as Membership Chairman and Trustee and spent 15 years with the New Braunfels Evening Lions Club, where he was honored as Lion of the Year in 1981. His commitment to the Masonic community was equally strong—he was a Past Master, Secretary, Treasurer, and endowed member of the Guadalupe and New Braunfels Masonic Lodges, as well as a member of the York Rite in Seguin, the Scottish Rite in San Antonio, and the Alzafar Shrine, where he enjoyed fellowship and service through several clubs.
A funeral service will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Landa Street on June 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in New Braunfels. Burial will follow at Guadalupe Memorial Cemetery on Highway 46 for those who wish to join the family at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to a charity of your choice or to the Alzafar Shrine Transportation Fund, which helps children receive medical care in Galveston—an effort Kenneth supported wholeheartedly.
