Kurtis Wayne Krause "Kountry", 37 of New Braunfels, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 in San Antonio. He was born to Doug and Kathy Krause in New Braunfels, Texas on July 16, 1979. Kountry graduated from Canyon High School Class of 1997 and later began working for the Union Pacific Railroad in track maintenance. From his childhood, Kountry had a passion for the Rodeo. Every year he looked forward to the Comal County Fair where he would participate in bull riding and even rodeo clowning for a short time. He also loved the outdoors, riding his motorcycle and spending time with fellow members and brothers of the True Few Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by his loving wife, Heather Krause; sons, Ayden Hayes, Kaine Krause, and Kooper Krause; parents, Doug and Kathy Krause; brother, John Wayne Krause; grandmother, Betty Jahnsen; aunts and uncles, Marilyn and David Ivy, Henry and Shirley Jahnsen, Jackie and Sherman Mercer, Walter and Debbie Krause and Jeanie and Kenneth Combs; father and mother-in-law, Jerome and Janice Fey; sisters-in-law, April Carley and husband Kennyn and Janessa Koepp and husband Kyle; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and all his brothers from the True Few Motorcycle Club. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clarence Jahnsen; grandparents, Walter and Lillian Krause; uncle, Gary Jahnsen; and niece, Dafyne Krause.
Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Thursday at Zoeller Funeral Home and will continue until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Friday, September 23, 2016 at Friedens Church with Pastor Rex Keating officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are being accepted c/o the True Few Motorcycle Club for his wife and children. Arrangements under the direction of Zoeller Funeral Home, New Braunfels, TX.
