LaVonne Leeton

Born on May 4, 1939, in San Bernardino, California, LaVonne lived an adventurous life full of love, laughter, and purpose. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

LaVonne worked in undercover security at the Broadway Department Store in San Bernardino. Thereafter, she worked as a bookkeeper for both Gemco and the Cal State San Bernardino Bookstore; however, her greatest dedication was to her family! She was a devoted room mother, a gifted party planner, and a generous spirit who never hesitated to give her time and energy to others.

A passionate gardener, LaVonne delighted in growing beautiful blooms and all things plant related. She also loved baking, best known for her famous pumpkin bread and forgotten cookies, which she lovingly hand-delivered to friends and family. Aside from her family and friends, animals were her great love! Between her horses, chickens, dogs, and other various family pets, she was quite the Doctor Dolittle!

Following the retirement of her husband, Bob, the two embraced a life of travel, exploring the world and creating lasting memories along the way. She had an eye for photos and never missed an opportunity to capture their travels on film. LaVonne was an enthusiastic adventurer—whether dirt biking, snowmobiling, or bravely facing her fear of heights, she embraced life fully.

LaVonne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Leeton; her parents, R.B. and Audrey Rose Gray; her sister Tannie and brother-in-law, Bill Owens; and her nephew, Michael Owens.

LaVonne is survived by her daughters, Denise and her husband Derek Fennell, Shannon and her husband Chris Rankin; and her cherished grandchildren: Laura Fennell, Jake Rankin and his wife Sydney, and Trevor Rankin and his wife Malia.

Services will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on July 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by a reception at the Rio Terra Senior Living Clubhouse.
