Librada "Lee" Campos

Librada “Lee” Campos returned to the Father that gave her life on July 19, 2018, at the age of 81. She was surrounded by her immediate family at the time of her death. Librada was born on August 17, 1936 in Karnes City, Texas to Eulalia Sanchez and Jose Aquayo Gonzales. She was the youngest of eleven children. She was preceded in death by both of her parents as well as her husband, Gilbert Campos. She met her husband, while in high school and they were married on October 8, 1958. They had three children; Richard Campos of San Antonio, Linda Lee of New Braunfels, and David Javier of New Braunfels. She is survived by two sisters, Consuelo Young and Lucia Peña as well as seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Librada was a member of the New Braunfels High School class of 1955 and she remained in contact with many of her classmates. Librada was active in the pep squad as well as the choir. She continued her love of singing as a member of the Singing Mothers that performed during the 1968 Hemisfair as well as in the Mid-Texas Symphony Choir. Her home life consisted of supporting her husband as a firefighter for the City of New Braunfels as well as her children in their many activities. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, family history, collecting and photography.

Visitation will be held, Thursday, July 26 from 6 - 9 pm at Zoeller Funeral home. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, July 28 at 11:00 a.m at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1390 Hanz Drive.
