Linda Lou Drever

Linda grew up in Virginia Beach, VA where she graduated from Princes Ann High School. She worked as a cocktail waitress in Norfolk Virginia where she met Gary Drever a tall Texan that was enlisted in the Navy. They married in 1968 and moved to Texas. She worked many years for the San Antonio Board of Realtors as Member Services Director before retiring in 2017. Even after retirement she still felt the need to work to keep busy and socialize. She worked part time at Zoeller Funeral home where she was able to comfort families during their most difficult time. Linda was known for her perfectly kept hair, her love for Elvis, her outgoing demeanor and her willingness to help others. She always made sure everyone’s needs were met before her own.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Gary Drever, parents Robert and Veronica Painter, brother Michael Painter and son Steven Allen Humphries. She leaves behind two children, daughter, Veronica “Chrissy” Franks and husband Chad; son, Kevin Drever and wife Diana; sister, Patricia Haughn and husband Richard; sister-in-law, Sheryl Painter; brothers, Gary Painter and wife Linda and Robert Painter wife Susan. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and last but not least her greatest pride, her three grandchildren, whom she adored immensely, Sarah Cobb, Dylan Cobb and Ryan Drever.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 27, 2025, from 11 to 1pm at the North Center, 3501 Morning Drive, Schertz Texas 78108.

The family would like to thank the staff at Grand Brook Memory Care for taking such great care of her in her last months.
