Lindsey was born on February 10, 1983 in Houston, Texas to Leon and Theresa Apostolo.
Lindsey was preceded in death by her loving grandmother, Lydia Kresta. Survivors include her parents; brother, Colin (CJ); her loving dog and companion, Jewels; grandfather, James Kresta and wife Carol; Uncles, RJ Apostolo, Jerry Gilliland, Elton Kresta; Aunt, Veronica Gilliland; cousins, Angela Wyrick, Dara Gilliland, Spencer Apostolo and numerous other family members and friends.
Lindsey grew up in Houston and graduated from Langham Creek High School in 2001. She went on to earn her degree from Texas State University in 2004 in Fashion Merchandising. She was employed by Saks Fifth Avenue until she decided to pursue her teaching certification. Lindsey taught 4th grade at Sutton Elementary School in HISD. In September, 2010 Lindsey was successful in starting the first Houston National Cervical Cancer Coalition and served as Chairman. Lindsey made a tremendous impact on everyone who knew her and her legacy will continue. She handled her illness with such strength, faith and courage. We would like to thank Dr. Luis Camacho for his compassion for both Lindsey and our family.
A celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 21st at the Bear Creek United Methodist Church, 16000 Rippling Water Drive, Houston, TX 77084. It was Lindsey’s wish that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Gruene United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2629 E. Common St. New Braunfels, Texas 78130. She also wanted everyone to wear bright colors.
