Louis John Feulner, Jr., known to everyone as “Lou,” died on 22 February 2022. He is survived by his wife Harriett, three daughters Debbie (Jim) Stange, Denise (Jim) Provost, and Deneen Hornberger and stepchildren Tom (Beth) Webb, Deanna Webb, Troy (Peri) Webb, Melissa Webb, Kathy (Perry) Hicks and Suzy (Brad) Strom. And a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Lou was the third son of Louis John Feulner, Sr. and Carrie Genevieve Snyder of Scotia, New York, all preceding him in death. His brothers were Bernard and Robert.
Lou had many careers besides father and husband: welder, constable, salesman, gunsmith, RV park manager, handyman, bull rider, boxer, tornado wrassler, race car driver, water witcher, story teller and an expert in politics, fishing, hunting and most subjects discussed under most circumstances. Truly.
Lou loved to fish and hunt and cook turkeys in a paper bag, ribs with sauerkraut, and beef stew. And to talk about old times in the Adirondack mountains and growing up on a farm in upstate New York. He moved to Pennsylvania in 1973 with a promotion to district manager with Ralston Purina.
Lou never met someone he was unwilling to help in time of need.
At his request there will be no funeral. A private family gathering in his memory saw the launching of balloons into a stiff northern breeze wishing him well. Bye, Lou. See you soon.
