He was born June 2, 1940, in San Antonio Texas. to Malcolm Christian Fischer Sr. and Adele Schlierer Fischer.
He married Effie Ola Patton on October 8, 1960 at Aldersgate Methodist Church. in San Antonio.
Malcolm was preceded in death by both his parents.
Survivors include one sister, Judy Lynn Fischer, three sons: Malcolm (Chris) Christian ( (Renee) , Dean Alan (Beth), and, Brian Keith ( Angie) , 8 grandchildren , Amanda Haynes, (Mike), Joshua ( Jessica), James (Kate), Austin (Michaela,) Kaitlin, Mason, Jackson, and Sydney, and five great grandchildren: Michael, Brantley, Maverick, Luke and George.
After graduation from Breckenridge high school , San Antonio in 1958 , he was employed by City Public Service in San Antonio for 40 years, from where he retired in 1998.
Malcolm loved volunteering at Salvation Army, especially following the floods of 1998 and 2002 and after the hurricanes Katrina and Rita brought many refugees to New Braunfels.
He loved his church family at St. Paul Lutheran, where he was involved in various ministries , including building maintenance and repairs, and serving as head usher for special services as well as several duties in helping with the organizing of the annual Wild Game dinner.
Malcolm was very generous and friendly and enjoyed people wherever he was, especially at the restaurants he and Ola frequented. He always appreciated the staff and servers wherever they dined , especially Megan at Montana Mikes and Paula at Golden Corral..
He will be missed by all his friends and family and , especially his wife of 65 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Paul Lutheran church
