Born September 4th, 1945 in Sierra Blanca, Texas, Anne left a winsome legacy of selflessness and gentle love to the countless friends she knew. Her life was marked by generosity, grace and tender thoughtfulness for others. Most notable was Anne’s resolute love for Jesus and her pursuit in both the joy in knowing Him and the joy in making Him known. Whether through hosting a weekly Good News Club for children, teaching Sunday School or attending many prayer groups, Anne believed in the power of God to change lives as it had changed hers as a young girl. One quote from a worship song written in her Bible summed up this legacy:
Now my heart’s desire is to know You more
To be found in You and Known as Yours
To possess by faith what I could not earn
All surpassing gift of righteousness
Anne possessed a deep fortitude of character molded from the trials she endured. Her life was specially touched by the grace and kindness shown to her in her teenage years. She longed for the return of the Lord and yearned for the day when she would stand among the redeemed worshipping in the very presence of the Lamb.
Anne will be greatly missed by her husband, her two sons, her daughters-in-law, her grandchildren, her siblings and the many sweet friends that touched her life.
