Marilyn (Trlica) Fehlis, 75, of New Braunfels, Texas, was called home to the Lord on January 14, 2024, following a courageous battle with brain cancer. Marilyn was born in Beeville to the late Clifton Trlica, Sr. and Angelina (Jancha) Trlica. She grew up in Skidmore, graduated from Skidmore-Tynan High School, and attended Texas A&I University.
Prior to her retirement and move to New Braunfels, Marilyn spent nearly 40 years in Victoria, Texas, where she was a small business owner and then became a pharmacy technician later in life. Marilyn loved being on the water. She was happiest relaxing on any beach, lake, or river. She also loved shopping and spending time with friends. However, her greatest love was her family. She truly loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. Marilyn will forever be remembered as a kind and generous soul who never met a stranger.
She is preceded in death by her father Clifton Trlica, Sr., mother Angelina (Jancha) Trlica, sister Arline (Trlica) Trial, and brother Clifton Trlica, Jr. Marilyn’s family finds peace in the fact that she is now reunited with them in heaven. She is survived by her daughter Stacey (Fehlis) Carroll and fiancé Kevin Griffin, son Michael Fehlis and wife Carrie, daughter Leslie (Fehlis) Dawley and husband Todd, and six beautiful grandchildren – Sarah Carroll, Drew Fehlis, Grant Fehlis, Miles Fehlis, Luke Dawley, and Reese Dawley – as well as brother-in-law Joe Trial, sister-in-law Lou (Trlica) Schulenburg and her husband Frank, and a loving niece and three nephews. A funeral service will be held in her honor at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 26, at Oakwood Church, 2154 SH-337 Loop, New Braunfels, TX 78130.
