Condolences to the Crayton Family!! Mark was always there when I needed a vehicle or when I was looking for another camero  he would always send pics just to say we have some in stock.  Always wished me happy birthdays and O mother’s days!  I just found out that he was called to the heavens and I will truly miss him! He was a great guy! Until we see you Mark! Big heavenly hugs!!

I have some great memories with Mark playing against him in the Wurstbowl. We had some good battles  on the field, but off the field all we had was love and respect for each other. Over the years we’d run into each other and we always had some good laughs and memories to share. I was so sorry that I had be out of town during his service.  Please know you are all in my prayers. I will miss him.

I am saddened to hear about the passing of Mark. He was a bright light and brought so much joy & laughter to many. 
I have many fond memories of Mark especially with his dear Aunt Billie and Mom Daisy. He was so very proud of his family and children.

My fondest memories of my buddy, my guardian angel and great friend was going to Casa Garcia. Crayton’s favorite thing was the brisket tacos and we went there so much the staff knew what he wanted as soon as walking in. He was a great friend, saved my life when didn’t know I was in worst shape and always listened to all my problems. I will miss ya big homie, see ya on the other side one day! 

Many hearts are broken over the loss of this wonderful man, mine included. It's been very difficult to accept and I still don't want to accept it. Mark was a very important peace of my life and the empty space left behind is massive. Rest easy Mr Crayton.

Mark was always up for a game of whatever game you wanted to play and most of the time he would come out on top.  As a young teenager I can recall him coming over to our house one day at my request to play ping pong.  He schooled me pretty bad so naturally I challenged him to a game of one on one in basketball.  That was a mistake as well so I challenged him to a game of checkers.  I thought I had him but alas he still won.  He never boasted or bragged and was willing to humor me when I thought I could take him in a new game.  He was a great person and will be missed tremendously by all who called him family or friend.  Rest in power MC.

It's at times such as this, that we just don't understand, but it's not for us to understand, it's for us to look up, and realize that everything is done, just as it should according to our Heavenly Father's will. Mark, my dear friend.  I am going to miss you so much.  Some of my favorite memories with you were how we used to cheat playing dominos with Laura but you would blame me lol.   Then the silver shorts on Halloween that you squeezed into.   Our trip to the beach with the kids was so much fun.  Playing tag for hours.  Everyone thought you were famous  so we skipped the long lines at restaurants.   Jordon will never forget our trip to the Dallas Cowboys training camp and got an autographed cap.     Kacie will never forget you saving her from the infamous Chain Saw Massacre guy running around the neighborhood on Halloween.   We have so many fun memories and you will always have a place in my heart.  Rest In Peace my dear friend.  Til we meet again ❤️🙏

Mark was a ray of sunshine ALWAYS!  He never failed to have a big hug or smile to share.  I loved hearing stories about his family that he was so very, very proud of. I met Mark just last month at the dealership where he worked. He struck up a conversation with me of which we carried on for almost 3 hours. We exchanged phone numbers and planned on having a beverage some time soon. All I can say is that Mark is one great, genuine person and the world is a sadder place without him. I’m at a loss for words, Cray Cray. Back in 2016 when I first started working for Chuck Nash, you made me feel at home and welcomed me with open arms. I’m broken. You gave me the ultimate smile on my face during the roughest times of my life. I will forever be grateful for you and our friendship, for God knew what I needed in a friend. I remember the times we would literally race to work and see who got their first, which was always you. It’s always been you. Now all I can do is look back at all the times we had clowning on each other. Cray cray I can’t believe you’re gone. I just want to thank you for being who I needed at any given moment. Your friendship, your smile, your funny ass laugh. You will never be forgotten. I’m going to honor you for as long as I can live! I’ll see you up there buddy. The loss of a loved one is a very trying and daunting experience, especially when it is so sudden. May the Crayton family please accept our sincerest condolences in this most solemn time. It is only comforting to know that Mark is at ease, no longer in sufferment. He humbly received us into his home and we literally “broke bread” and shared a meal, committing to a mentoring partnership and giving thanks for all in welcoming, “Baby Mae”; and, we all know the Cowboy’s need all the help from heaven they can get!

Such a great guy!! You will be missed by all.

I hadn’t see Mark in many years. I have many fond memories of him and his beautiful smile. He had a personality that could light up a room and bring a smile to those around him. May you Rest In Peace my friend. Condolences and prayers for his family. 

Ray and I just bought yet  another of many cars from Mark. We had lots of time to talk.  We talked about his upcoming surgery, our kids and how happy it made him that so many of his kids teachers called them "theirs". It made him feel blessed that his kids were loved. We will miss our friend.  Love and prayers for all that loved him.


Fond memories of our childhood through high school and beyond. Hadn't seen Mark in some time--met him in kindergarten at First Protestant.
His grandfather Amos Ball used to ride Mark and I around in the afternoon in his green city-owned dog catcher truck.  That’s what you called 1968-69 modeled child care!
Back in the day, Amos would just tell Mark and I to "stay put and don't be messin' with my radio" when he parked the truck to catch a loose dog.
No one had to worry about kids alone and/or locked in the truck because mechanical-only windows were always rolled down cause there was no AC.
Mark will be missed—prayers for peace and comfort to his family.

My brother I will always cherish all the talks we had in the mornings and the laughs. You always were able to light up a room with your smile and your laughter. I will miss you my friend until we meet again know you will always be in my heart and mind and your memory will remain in those that loved you.

Mark and I lost contact with each other some time ago but he is always in my heart and memory.  He was a co-worker, manager and professional mentor at the Wal-Mart DC.  We became friends and  he was the  best man in my wedding and traveled to Oregon to do so.  He helped me grow as a young man and profesional and do so while having fun and not letting to much get the best of you.  My condolences to all of Mark's friend and family, may he rest in peace.

Mark was a guy that you would like to have at your parties.  He was so much fun and you were guarantee to get a good laugh.  My sister Pat Millett and I use to chaperon some of the parties my nephew and niece Steven & Stephanie will would have and Mark was always the life of the party. We could reminisce about Mark and the crazy things he would say or do and we couldn't do anything but laugh.  In 2014  while  I was working at the City of New Braunfels Parks Department, I talked Mark into portraying  his grandfather Amos Ball at his grave for the 4th annual Soul Searching Tours of historic Comal Cemetery. This particular event portray  "Everyday Heroes" of New Braunfels.  Amos was the City Dog Catcher. Mark was nervous, but did an outstanding job of telling a  story of his grandfather. Mark you will truly be missed and my deepest sympathy goes out to his daughters, grandchild, mother and the family.

I have a lot of great memories with Mark. We played summer league basketball together a few years. We (Rhett Stuman, Randy Batey, Mike Sebanc,Docky Mcbride, John Gilbert and some others) had a pretty good team and actually played for the summer league championship our last year together. As you could imagine, Mark was one of our best players. Tall, athletic and physical! Plus a heck of a guy!  Gonna miss seeing Mark around for sure!  My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.  Prayers for healing and peace.

Mark was such a good man - I met him in 2011 at Chuck Nash and never went anywhere else to buy a car again.  He became a good friend.  Mark was funny, honest, hard working, and he loved his family so dearly, and shared many sweet stories about his daughters and grandbaby.  Mark was an outstanding human being who lived out his faith every day, and he will be sorely missed.  I am so sorry for your loss, but I know that Mark is with our Savior.
