Mattie Christine Arnold Ott

Mattie Christine Ott, born March 17, 1918 in Palestine passed away peacefully on Saturday October 9, 2010 in New Branufels, Texas. She was a dedicated member and elder in The Community of Christ Church where she served as the hands and feet of Christ in her Church and Community. As a military wife she made friends wherever she lived or traveled. Her love of travel took her to many countries where she never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by husband, John L. Ott. She is survived by daughter Katherine (Joe) McLeister , son Arnold (Bertha) Ott, grandson Ron Lute, granddaughter Ronda (Sal) Lamagna, and grandaughter Laurie (Bryan) Blount, great grandson Shane Lamagna, stepsons Bryan and Bruce McLeister, step great-grandson Don (Tish) McLeister and children, step great-granddaughters Megan (Jason) Greco and daughter Gianna, Taylor Lamagna, & Desi Blount, sister-in-laws Martha Pils of Little Rock, Ark., Jean Arnold of Palestine, Tx. nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels at 11:30 am on Thursday October 14, 2010. Graveside internment for the family will be held at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio.

The family would like to thank the staff and Doctors of Kirkwood Manor Nursing Home for their years of dedicated service to our Mother.

Memorial contributions may be made to the land fund of Community of Christ Church in New Braunfels, Tx.
