

She grew up in McQueeney, Texas until the 10th grade when her family moved to Alamo, Texas in the Valley. May graduated from Pharr San Juan Alamo High School and then attended Pan American Junior College for two years and then Texas A&I University. In 1949, she married Clarence Boldt and they had two sons, Jim Boldt in 1950 and Dan Boldt in 1953. She and Clarence lived in Victoria and then Houston over the years where they raised their sons. After a divorce in 1972, May married Jack Williams in 1974. May and Jack lived many happy years in Houston and later Sugar Land. Jack was a successful dentist in Houston and May worked as his office manager for a time. May and Jack were very involved with the Amway Company, selling products and traveling around the United States. She and Jack lead an active life serving in many capacities at the First United Methodist Church. They were also very committed members of the Exchange Club of Sugar Land for 33 years. After Jack’s passing in 2023, May moved to Elan Westpointe in New Braunfels to be closer to her large family.
May, or Mimi as she was fondly known by her family was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her faith in the Lord guided her throughout her life and she often spoke of being united with God and her dear husband Jack. She had many close friends, especially in the Exchange Club. She was very bright and stayed sharp all the way until the end of her life, and everyone who loved her knew she would never miss an opportunity to speak her mind or tell you what she thought. May loved the outdoors, and spent lots of time at Lake Travis skiing and fishing with her family. She also enjoyed dove hunting and deer hunting which she continued to do well into her 80’s. May enjoyed visiting and spending time with her friends and family and her beloved cat “Kiki”. Whenever she got the opportunity you could find her proudly watching her great-grandkids participate in their various sports.
May was preceded in death by Jack Williams, her loving husband of 49 years, Debby Boldt, her daughter-in-law, and Kraig Williams, her step-son. She is survived by her sons, Jim Boldt (Cheryl), Dan Boldt (Peggy); grandchildren Jenna Charlton, Blake Boldt (Ashley), Jordan Waldrip (Tommy), Kara Minarcik (Jeff), and Kari Eschmann; great-grandchildren James and Trenton Charlton, Lana, Cade, and Ava Boldt, Brooks and Truett Waldrip, Brooklyn and Brody Minarcik, Robbie and Riley Eschmann; and great-great grandchild Leighton. May is also survived by her step-daughters Kim Birtcher (Tim), Kelle Mills (Bruce), and Kyla Crumbly; grandchildren Shawn Christopher, Phillip Birtcher, Jackie Mills, Dakota Mills (Kassy), and Misty Whitenton (Joe), Catherine Land, Morrigan Hardy (Hunter); great-grandchildren Thomas Whitenton, Indiana Mills, Mila Mills.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 with Visitation at 1:00PM and the service to follow at 2:00PM at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St., New Braunfels, Texas, 78130. The graveside burial will be held on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025 in Houston at 11:30AM at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, Texas, 77077.
