Melva Rae Bailey

MELVA RAE BAILEY, born in Rosepine Louisiana on Feb. 1, 1919, was met at the Pearly Gates by her husband Milton, and her precious Lord Jesus, Sunday morning, Feb. 27, 2011. Residents of Canyon Lake, Texas, and formerly of Houston, Texas. She is survived by daughters Deanna Johnson and husband Frank, of Canyon Lake Texas, Darleen Brautigam and husband John, of Centerville Texas, and sons Michael Bailey and Patrick Bailey and wife Susan, of Houston Texas; Grandchildren Chad, Sandra, Sherry, Shawntil and Courtney, and great-grandchildren Kayla and Micah. Melva and Milton were loved charter members of the Church in the Wildwood, and former members of Long Point Assembly and Lindale Assembly of God in Houston. The Celebration of her life will be at The Church in the Wildwood, Startzville Texas, Thursday March 3rd at 10 am. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel at Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery in Houston, Friday March 4th at 12:30 pm. Interment next to Milton to follow immediately after the Chapel Service.
