Opal G. Brever

Opal G. Brever passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the age of 96. She was born in Wellington, Texas on October 17, 1919 to Lyman and Leota Garretson. Opal was married to Robert J. Brever for nearly 58 years before his passing in March of 2004. She retired from a distinguished career at General Dynamics of more than 20 years where she was a true trailblazer for women. She was honored for her work there, and was known for her strong work ethics and dependability. She had a beautiful spirit and was a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Opal will be fondly remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her kindness, generosity and her love of animals. Opal was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert J. Brever; sister, Lorenza Miller; brother, Lyman Garretson; nieces, Judy Hidalgo and Joyce May; nephew, Richard Miller; great-niece, Tanya Fielder; and great-great niece, Ashley Fielder.

She is survived by, nephew, Steve Miller and wife Mary; great nieces and nephews, Francis and Leota Hidalgo, Patricia and John Fielder, Amanda Pace, and Miranda, Kristi, and David Miller.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25th at Zoeller Funeral Home from 11:00am-12:00pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00pm. Interment will take place on Friday, August 26th at 2:00pm at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
