Pamela Hicks, 85, peacefully went to be with the Lord on June 17, 2026. Pam, or Mam as she was lovingly known to so many, was born on May 25, 1941 to Thomas and Alice Hood in Fort Worth, Texas. She fell in love under a harvest moon and married Bobby Hicks when she was 17. She loved to travel and was always up for an adventure. She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church, and was very involved and loved her church family and friends - both in Canyon Lake and in Coahoma. Her favorite past time was painting. She would often say, if she had it her way, she would just paint all day.
The only thing she loved more than painting, were her grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren. You could always hear her tell them, “whatever you want, my darling!”
Pam is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Bobby, brother Tommy Hood, and her son-in-law Wayne Baranowski.
She is survived by her sister Lynn (Allen) Cunningham, daughter Elaine Baranowski of New Braunfels and son Robert Hicks (Duane De Leon) of Alvin, grandchildren Shelly (JD) Davis of New Braunfels and Jake (Tyler) Baranowski of Lago Vista, and her 4 Great-grandchildren Charlotte Grace and Ryder Davis and Tucker and Sadie Morgan Baranowski as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Celebration of Life will be at Canyon Lake Presbyterian Church on June 23, 2026 at 11am. A memorial service will follow Coahoma, Texas at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Canyon Lake Presbyterian Church.
The family would like to send a sincere thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at Christus Santa Rosa New Braunfels for their care and compassion in Pam’s last few days.
