

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Burnice and Helen Tadlock. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Georgia Tassos Tadlock; his brother, Richard (Glorianna); and his three children, Larry Tadlock (Karen), Melinda Roberts (David), and Courtney DeLee (Mike). He is also survived by his niece Diane (Michael) two great-nieces, two great-nephews, five grandsons: Matthew (Melanie) Dave, Glen, Bryan, and Luke, and one granddaughter, Kaitlyn (Eric, a proud United States Navy Veteran). Paul was also the proud great-grandfather of two great-grandsons, Rowan Rudolf and Santana Michael.
In 1973, Paul left the corporate world to pursue his true passion in art. On his way to becoming one of the world’s leading wildlife sculptors, he sculpted hundreds subjects through commissions and limited editions for some of the most storied institutions around the world. His many legendary works are displayed in prominent public spaces, museums, galleries, and private collections across the world.
An avid outdoorsman and big game hunter, Paul passed his passion for hunting onto his kids and grandkids. His love of wildlife also inspired many of his most celebrated pieces. Through his art, he helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for community projects, children’s organizations, and wildlife conservation efforts. His work and story have been featured in Peterson Hunting Annual, Southwest Art and Gallery Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Forbes Magazine, and numerous newspapers across the country.
Paul was a man of faith, known for his gentle spirit and calming presence. Many described him as a gentle giant with a heart of gold. His kindness, humility, and artistry touched countless lives, and he will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 777 W. San Antonio St., New Braunfels, Texas.
