Our beloved wife and mother, Peggy Ann Davis, has left this Earth to be eternally with her Lord. She will be so missed here, but she is now with her Savior. She was a blessing to everyone she touched during her life. Her love and concern for others will eternally be a tribute to her life.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, William James Porter and Stella Mae Dennis, as well as numerous siblings, and family.
Peggy lived a life full of love, devotion and a passion for her Lord. She also enjoyed leading Bible studies and sharing her faith with others.
She had a love of doing crafts. Her favorite activities were quilting, cross-stitching (of which she taught several of the nursing students that cared for her), crocheting, playing 42 and other games with friends and neighbors, spending time with family, traveling, and square dancing.
Peggy was formally trained as an Executive Legal Secretary and was the church secretary at several churches.
She was her husband’s right-hand assistant in medical clinics in New Mexico and Kenieba, Mali. She assisted Dan in planting several churches. She was a missionary to Mali West Africa, helping to live out the Christian life as an example to the Africans.
She was fluent in French, which was necessary to communicate with the Mali citizens and she learned their local language, Malinke.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dan Davis of San Marcos TX; son Danny Davis and wife Karen of Kyle; grandsons Zachary (Natali) Coppedge of Austin, and Anthony Davis of Kyle; and two great-grandsons Aidan and Kevin.
Our Dear Peggy, wife, mother, and friend, rest in your eternal home and one day we will be together again.
The family would like to thank Magnolia Hospice and Rose of Texas Care Givers for taking such wonderful care of Peggy, and loving her like family, during her last few months.
