

Raymond Juarez was born in New Braunfels to Librado and Maria Juarez on April 18,1949. He graduated from Gotebo High School in Gotebo, OK and studied engineering at SWTSU. He married Mary Caballero on October 3,1992 in New Braunfels. He did engineering work for NBGS in the 1990's, working on waterparks around the world. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War & served in the Army from 1969 to 1977. During that time, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, a Purple Heart, the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, the Good Conduct Medal, Clasp Bronze 3 Loops, Marksman (rifle), and a Bronze Star Medal. He was Post Commander of the VFW Post 7110 from 2010 to 2012, started the VFW Motorcycle Group and participated in the Patriot Guard. He loved his family, riding his motorcycle, talking to people, and was a big OU Sooners fan.
Raymond was preceded in death by his daughter Rachel Juarez, parents, brothers Librado Juarez, Jr. and Joe "Catfish" Juarez, niece Pamela Sampley, father in-law Roman Caballero, mother in-law Josefina Caballero, brother in-law Ramon Caballero, and close friend Jesse "Mohawk" Rodriguez.
Raymond is survived by his wife Mary Caballero Juarez, daughter Raven Juarez, son Raymond B. Juarez and wife Misty, daughter Roxanna Kennedy and husband Dean, sons Jason Juarez (Alissa), Andrew Juarez and wife Rosary, and David Juarez, sisters Emma Mendoza and husband Toby, Esther Pina and husband Lupe, brother Rudy Juarez and wife Annie, 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law Jackie Juarez and Mary Caballero, brothers-in-law David Caballero and wife Catherine and Victor Caballero.
Pallbearers are Dominik Juarez, Jayden Juarez, Miles Juarez, Douglas Baker, Logan McGuckin, Andy Juarez, Favian Yanez, and Dominick Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Lewis, Carlos Castillo, and Mateo Caballero.
Visitation will be Monday, August 25, 2025 from 5pm to 9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Zoeller Funeral Home. Service will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 11:30am at the Zoeller Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio at 1:45 PM in Shelter #5. Celebration of life will follow after burial at the VFW Post 7110 at 600 Peace Ave in New Braunfels.
