Richard devoted 30 years of his life working for Blue Bell Creameries where he served as Branch Manager. Rich’s dedication to Blue Bell was nothing short of remarkable because he considered the many friends that he had there to be family. Rich’s love and devotion to Jesus Christ was evident in not only his 24 hour prayer vigils and Act Retreats, but most importantly in the way he lived his life with an open heart and with the utmost kindness and compassion to all who knew him. He was a loving husband and devoted father, who genuinely believed his three children were his greatest accomplishment. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend to all who knew him.
He was an avid golfer, sports enthusiast and devoted Texas Longhorn Fan. His ever growing UT memorabilia and relentless texts to family and friends each game day saying, “Get your horns up, it’s game day” were cherished by many. Rich was once asked, “How do you want to be remembered?” and he responded, “That I had the love of the Lord in my heart, I made people smile and I lived life to the fullest.” God Bless You Richie, you accomplished your goals.
