Born in New Braunfels, Texas, on March 27, 1965, Robert loved his city. “Nucas” as he would call it. He was known by many as “Indio” because of his dark red skin. Robert was a jack of all trades but his specialties were in carpentry, stonework/concrete, and landscaping. Through the years, he worked on various projects around the town. He always took pride in his craft and was especially proud of his contributions towards the downtown courthouse renovation project of 2013 and his efforts towards the building of Resolute Hospital. His creativity also inspired many landscaping, concrete, and stonework projects through the years. He loved being outdoors whether it was for work or for pleasure. He had the rare ability to just be present in nature and appreciate the simplicity of it. Much of this came from his relationship with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Robert was a God-fearing man and had very strong faith. He was known by many for his powerful, passion-filled prayers and his ability to quickly quote bible scripture. He always had the strength that many needed during difficult times. He was a testament of faith even through his last days where he fought and lived courageously. A true disciple until the very end! Robert will be greatly missed by many and there is no doubt that he is now resting in the paradise he always dreamed of; The Kingdom of Heaven.
Robert is survived by his Wife, Mary Ulloa; Children, Estella Aleman, Robert Jr., Isaiah Gomez, Zachary Ulloa, Peter Ulloa, and Melanie Ulloa; 19 grandchildren; Brothers, Carlos Gomez and wife Michelle, Chris Gomez, Adrian Gomez and wife Laurie; Sisters, Sonia Nyeste and husband Brian, Becky Quijano and husband Jesse, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Son, Caesar Gomez; Parents, Jacinto and Dolores Gomez; Sister Cynthia Gomez; Brother, Gabriel Gomez; Great Nephew, Austyn Gomez.
A memorial service for Robert will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 10am with a reception to follow.
