Our condolences to Bob's family. He was 
a good  man and a great boss .I knew bob has to  be in heaven with God and Jesus

A fun neighbor and a great friend.  Last contact was Austin High School prom in 66.  His response was (what was I doing there) not realizing I was with my boyfriend that was a senior.  Both got a great laugh.  I have missed him ever since but he is in a better place but have great memories.  RIP my friend.  Sorry I didn't know before now

My condolences to the entire Savage family.  I attended elementary and jr. high school with Bob and we always had fun when he was around!  I have a great picture of Bob at my jr. high graduation party rough-housing around the pool with a bunch of guys and having a great time!  Prayers to Bob's family and friends.

My husband Barry Vanek went to Austin High School with Bob. I went to Gregg Elementary and Hartman Jr. High with him. We both remember him as a fun, outgoing guy who was very welll-liked.  It sounds like he went on to lead a very fulfilling life.  So sorry to hear of his passing.

I think of all the good times we had in high school...cruzing around in your '57 Chevy.......Great memories...RIP my friend.

I am so sad to hear this Bob and I were very good friends in high school and shared homeroom together.  We had many laughs and he was a very kind and wonderful person.  Looking at his picture he has not really changed at all.  I am so sorry for his family for their loss.  My prayers go out to all of you.

Cpl. Savage frequently shared his witty humor along with an encouraging word. I will miss his smile and warm greetings in the office.  My heart and prayers go out to Bob's family- both at work and home.

 Bob was everything a Sheriff's Deputy should be.  A man of integrity strong, wise, compassionate, cheerful.  You knew you could count on him.  I am happy for him that he found happiness and love, I know it made his life better.  I will miss him.

He was such a wonderful man. He will be dearly missed.

Cpl. Bob Savage was one of those unique souls who was able to enforce the laws entrusted to him with his good nature and kind spirit. I never left his company without a smile and having had my day and frame of mind elevated. When working with Bob nothing was overwhelming and with a little time, patience, courtesy and respect you could count on success.
He will be missed by his families, both blood and blue, and while our lives are diminished without his physical presence we carry his spirit with us always.

Bob was there for me always when Tom died in 2011 - I will miss him greatly and wish God's blessings and comfort to his family.  I know he and Tom are sharing "call" stories right now.

Bob was a great friend and co-worker. I am still in shock over his passing. I will miss his wisdom and his humor. Rest in peace brother.

Bob was a very special friend and co-worker. We were so lucky and blessed to have him in our life. Bob was one of only three people with us when we got married. He was a huge help with our daughter. She loved her Uncle Bob! Bob had a heart of gold. He will be dearly missed. We will continue to keep Bob and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

Bob, You were really great to work with you were always great with your job and really knew how to handle people with the proper techniques.  You were awesome, YOU will be missed.

Should You Catch Me Crying

Should you catch a glimpse of tears today, it's okay to smile. It's okay to pat me on the back and comfort me, but please don't ask me why - at least not yet.

Some bonds cannot be broken, even by death. Death cannot erase memories of days gone by: laughs, tall tales, horrific events shared, lunch breaks, debates - all in the name of the Service & Protection of others.

What death is capable of is stopping the addition of new memories - they cease to build, even when there was so much more to experience, so much life left to live. Perhaps that is the saddest part.

Like the simple things: chats between an old sailor and an old soldier about all that is wrong with the world, but more importantly all that is right, Coptalk over a coffee at the local convenience store or a friendly conversation in the hallway about family - boy he loved his family.

So should you catch me crying today, let me. Eventually I will let it all out -it needs to happen. Maybe releasing the grief will allow me to look back on those fond memories and smile again. Like he used to do.

Bob was a great person who had a witty character and was always around to give good advice. Corporal Savage will be greatly missed. His absence will be felt eternally. I am especially sorry for his wife Frances and son Dustin. I will keep you in my prayers. Corporal, rest easy brother, we've got it from here.

I was so shocked to hear of Bob's passing.  He was such a wonderful man.  I really enjoyed the time he worked in County Court at Law #2.  What a great sense of humor and admirable character.  So sorry for your loss Frances.  Life seems so unfair at times.
