Robert Ray Stallings

Robert Ray Stallings, age 72, a resident of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Christmas Day 2011. Born on July 15, 1939, in El Paso, TX, to Tom and Ethel Stallings, Bob was the youngest of eight children.

His survivors include: three children, son Mike Stallings and wife Kellie, daughter Rhonda Lyssy and husband Steve, and son Robert (Woody) Stallings and wife Louise; five grandchildren, Josh & Keenan Stallings, Spencer & Mia Lyssy, and Koen Stallings; two sisters, Lila (Rusty) James of Indiana and June Theus of El Paso; one brother, Claude Stallings of Lockney, TX; and lifelong best friend Michelle Stallings.

After a short stint in the Army, Bob spent most of his working years in the oil fields of West Texas and Egypt. Bob retired from Amoco in 1994. He lived in Odessa until 2007 when he moved to New Braunfels, TX, to be closer to family.

In keeping with Bob’s wishes, his remains will be cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, 12/29/2011, at 3:00 PM at the Eden Hill Chapel in New Braunfels, TX.
