Rosa was born in Seguin, Texas on May 7, 1936 to Luis and Luz Valdez. Rosa was one out of 11 brothers and sisters whom she adored and protected.
Rosa married Guadalupe Vargas December 14th 1963, She devoted her life to her husband and her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rosa was a devoted housewife and Mother to all. She gave her all to raising her children and grandchildren. Rosa was always ready to give a home cooked meal, a home to sleep in and her doors were always open to us all. Rosa spent her days cooking, cleaning and always had time for a garage sale or two. She was a familiar face to everyone in New Braunfels, she was known for her yard sale shopping and delivering home cooked meals to her children and grandchildren, always ready to take in our children to nurture and care for them because she proudly wore the title of “Best Mommy!”
On her alone time, she spent praying to our Lord to guide and protect everyone. You did not have to be family to be mothered or nurtured by Rosa, she gave that to everyone no matter what. She loved being a Mom to everybody.
She was once asked, what she would like to be remembered by, and she said in her own words,
“When you get old tell your kids and grandkids about Mommy and how I took care of you all, and I would do it all over again, even if it was my last days, Don’t Forget Mommy” -Rosa Vargas
