He was born on September 10, 1937 in Puerto Rico to Jose Guzman Zambrano and Mercedes Guzman Santiago. He also graduated from the University of Puerto Rico.
Mr. Guzman is survived by his wife, Linda Wiley Guzman; children, Ivelisse Perez, Ruddy Guzman Jr., Jose Rodlando Guzman, Larry Don May, Phillip Wiley May, Robert Hamilton May; grandchildren, Robert Perez, Leanora Gomez, Rodlando Guzman Jr., Ryane Guzman, April May Davis, Casey Marie Holser, James Benard May, Keily May and Lily Ann May; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Guzman is preceded in death by his parents and son, James J. May.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Zoeller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 12:00 noon in the Zoeller Funeral Home chapel. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
