Russell D. Depew

Russell Depew, born July 21, 1931, passed away on April 7, 2011 at the age of 79. He is survived by his wife, Emma Jean (Clobie) Depew of New Braunfels; brother Donald Depew (Pat) of St. Cloud, Florida; daughters Beverly Depew (Richard) of Kissimmee, Florida, Brenda Taft (Tally) of Mims, Florida, Deborah Davids (Tim) of Madison, Ohio, and Debbie Williams (John)of New Braunfels, Texas; son Richard T. Cayse, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; Grandchildren Laura Stanley (Bryant) of Palm Coast, Florida, Lacie Mello (Eric) of Port Orange, Florida, Kimberly Taft of Merritt Island, Florida, Marcus Taft (Jessica) of Titusville, Florida, Christy Jones (Paul) of Bryan, Texas, Carol Venegas (Fernando) of Ft. Benton, Montana, Richard T. Cayse, III (Amber) of Great Falls, Montana, Christopher Cayse (fiancée Samantha) of San Antonio, Texas, and Benjamin Cayse of San Antonio, Texas; Great-Grandchildren Tristen, Trent, Gabriel, Victor, Taylor, Marquis, Jeremiah, Tyler, Sequoia, Robert, Mason and Carolyn; and nephew Jerry Depew (Robin) of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He is predeceased by his parents, Hazel Warner Depew and Albert Depew.

Russell retired from Mercury Marine in St. Cloud, Florida after many years of service as a Tool & Die Maker. He was a private pilot and loved to fly his plane. He was also a Ham Radio operator and a Member and Past Master of the St. Cloud, Florida Masonic Lodge 221.

Visitation with family members will be held on Monday, April 11, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St., New Braunfels, Texas, and services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 12 at 2 p.m. at Oakwood Baptist Church, 2154 Loop 337, New Braunfels, Texas. Burial will take place at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, Highway 46 South, New Braunfels, Texas. Memorial donations may be sent to the Oakwood Baptist Church Building Fund, Christus Hospice, or the Christus Sister Mary Hospice Center, 5131 Medical Drive, Suite 310, San Antonio, Texas, 78229.
