Ruth Bates passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 94. Preceding her in death was her husband Elijah L. Bates. She is survived by her children daughters Marilyn and husband Wes Payton, Janet and Kevin Bartholomew, Linda and husband Fred Williams, Judy Rogers, and son Charles and wife Patricia Bates and Bobby and wife June Bates, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a sister Ola Mae Holmes. Memorial services will be Sunday September 23, 2012 at 2 pm at Zoeller Funeral Home.
