Ruth (Tuddy) Ellis Meadows

Funeral arrangements are complete at the Zoeller Funeral Home for Ruth (Tuddy) Meadows, who passed away on May 15, 2011 at the Nesbit Nursing Home in Seguin, Texas at the age of 75 years. She was born in Comal County to James and Helen Hansmann Ellis. Ruth was a very good seamstress and worked in sewing factories for over 30 years. Her favorite pastime was to spend time with her flowers. She always had beautiful flowers and could make anything grow. She was also an animal lover and her companion named Angel will miss her very much. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband (John) of 52 years. She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Ann Birkert; one granddaughter, Shannon Amen of San Antonio; two sisters, Ruby Mills and Annie James and husband Jo Bob of New Braunfels; two brothers, John (Sonny) Ellis and wife Brenda of New Braunfels and Bill Ellis and wife Denise of Seguin. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives. Visitation will continue until service time Tuesday. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Zoeller Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to Hope Hospice of New Braunfels.
