Santiago Zuniga

Santiago Zuniga, 84, of New Braunfels, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Colonial Manor Care Center. He was born to Tomas Zuniga and Augustina Vara Zuniga on July 25, 1928 in New Braunfels Texas. He married Antonia Trevino Garcia on October 10, 1973 in New Braunfels. He retired from West Point Pepperell after many years of employment and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

He is survived by loving wife, Antonia Zuniga; step-daughter, Norma Avery, step-sons, Richard L. Garcia, Edward O. Garcia, and David A. Garcia and wife Yolanda; sisters, Martina Soliz and Nieves Reyes; brother, Juan B. Gonzales; and 2 step-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers.

Visitation will begin 9:00 AM Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Reverend Ignatius Himawan, MSF – celebrant. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Holy Family Catholic Church.
