Sharon Reene Cedillo “Momma” age 44, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep Wednesday July 1st. As she was commonly called,“Momma,” was cherished and beloved by her family and friends. Everyone has their idea of how they want their life to go. She knew she wanted to be married and have a family from an early age. She was married at 18 to Ruben Cedillo on June 23, 1989 in New Braunfels, TX. When she was 20 she had her first child Kelsie, and two more wonderful children thereafter, Chadwick and Maxwell.
Despite her hardships, she was a very loving and devoted person who loved to live vicariously through those closest to her. Despite what some parenting books say about not being your children’s best friend but rather a parent, she chose to put the best friendship first -- a confidant through to the end. She was a mother-figure to all, including sons-in law and daughters-in law, as well as her sheltie Sadie; a ferret even. If there was ever a person to embody the motto “live and let live” or “forgive and forget” she was that person. She had understanding beyond her years, and then some. Though she was taken too soon, she’ll be happy to be with her “Omi” once again.
“To the world you may be one person but to one person you may be the world.” In this case, more than several people held her up as the world. We’ll miss your off-tune singing, silliness, and endless questions about our day, but in the end we know you’re resting easy now. Let us continue making you proud, and now you will live through us.
She’s predeceased by her grandparents Osler Soechting and Eva Nell Soechting, as well as her father John Gaisford. She is survived by her husband Ruben, her brother and mother Troy Gaisford and Nancy Gaisford--respectively-- and her three children Maxwell, Chadwick, and Kelsie.
Friends and family are cordially invited to the viewing, which will be held this Sunday July 5th from 1-4 pm at Zoeller funeral home. Services will take place on Monday July 6th at 10 am at York Creek Cemetery. If you are going northbound on I-35, the exit is 195 for Watson Ln/Old Bastrop Rd.
