

Shirley Ann Criswell Davidson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. She was born November 17, 1935, to Ira Hampton Criswell and Eva Ada (Burns) Criswell, the youngest of 14 children. Shirley was raised in Imperial, Texas. She graduated from Grand Falls High School in 1954 and then Durham Business College in Fort Worth. Shirley married Gary Davidson March 1, 1956. They had 5 children together. She worked for the Standard Times in San Angelo before moving to Midland where she worked for Sohio Petroleum. Shirley lived in Midland for many years and then returned to San Angelo for 20 years. She later moved to Brownwood in 2014.
Shirley was the best mother and grandmother. She was always fun loving and a great comforter. She was rich in friends! She was a great storyteller and enjoyed gardening and playing her Wahoo game. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and extended family.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, 13 siblings, her beloved grandson Jeffery Sandoval, her loving partner Donald Lanning. She is survived by her children, Pam Hendrix of Crane; Kathy McCorkle Davidson of Granbury; Jim Davidson and wife Lauren of New Braunfels; Terri Sandoval and husband Russell of Crane; and Gregg Davidson and wife Jennifer of Bronte; and step daughters Brenda Robinson and Molly Elliott. Shirley has 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Her family and friends will miss her dearly until we meet again.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Bible Church, 6146 Appaloosa Trail, San Angelo, Texas 76904.
