His life was marked by boundless curiosity with a career that carried him across the globe.
From his humble beginnings in Merrill Wisconsin Terry’s professional journey became a passport to the world. Whether navigating foreign cities or forging connections across cultures, he brought integrity, warmth, and a steady hand to every endeavor. His stories —rich with adventure and insight—reflected a life lived with purpose and an open heart.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Lewis, whose partnership was the cornerstone of his life. Preceded in death are his parents, Gil and Ida of Merrill, Wisconsin and nephew Joseph. He was father to four children; daughter Sarah Christianson (Scott), daughter Jennifer Bootz, son Jason Bootz (Suzy), and youngest son Joshua Bootz; grandchildren, Justin, Alex and Jaxon; nephews Matt and Jesse. He also leaves behind his brother, Jeffery Bootz (Bev), sister-in-law, Connie Lewis; and brother-in-law, John Lewis (Donna).
To know Terry was to know a man who valued creativity as shown during his successful career as a shoe designer. He found joy in flying his airplanes, being on the water with his boats and enjoying the company of friends and family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit endures in the lives he touched and the stories that will continue to be told.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff of Christus Santa Rosa Hospital, PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation and finally, to Sacred Heart Hospice.
