

Thomas Edward Spicer was born in 1934 and raised in Downers Grove, Illinois. He graduated from
Downers Grove High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI with both a
bachelor’s and master’s degree in education in 1962. Tom lived a life rich in experiences, always eager to
explore new horizons. Thomas E. Spicer, age 90 of Frisco, TX, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a
legacy of love, adventure, and wisdom.
Tom was married to his beloved wife, Delores, for 68 wonderful years. They married in Wisconsin
Rapids, WI on November 24, 1956. Together, they built a life filled with joy, learning, and shared
passions. They resided in Wisconsin, Florida and Texas. As educators, Tom and Delores cherished their
summers together, taking time to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors and the warmth of family.
Tom had a diverse career, enjoying his work as an elementary school principal, stockbroker and a middle
school math and science teacher. He found fulfillment in these roles, relishing the opportunities to
connect with others, mentor and share his knowledge. He had a life-long love of baseball, football, snow
skiing, trivia quiz shows and Western television and movies.
Tom's love for nature and travel took him across the country. Tom enjoyed growing Christmas tree
forests in Wisconsin, camping trips across America, the sunny beaches and pools of Florida, and the
wide-open spaces of Texas. He truly enjoyed caring for animals on his Texas ranch in New Braunfels, TX.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence E. Spicer and mother, Alice Spicer Otto.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Delores, and their three children: Julie England of Texas, Steve Spicer
of Colorado, and Susan Skinner of Texas. He also leaves behind two grandsons and two great-grandsons,
all residing in Colorado.
