Troy M. Charboneau, 44, of Boerne, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Methodist Hospital in Boerne. He was born to John Delevan Charboneau and Bonnie Ann Adelsperger on June 6, 1973 in Detroit, Michigan.
Troy graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in Schertz, class of 1992 where he was active in the ROTC program. After graduating he joined the US Army and later attended UTSA receiving a certification in Paramedic Service. He worked many years offshore as a HSE safety officer and traveled to several places around the world on business. He was currently employed as a Paramedic/Supervisor at American Medical Response. Troy loved the outdoors, hunting, shooting ranges, fine scotch and a fine cigar in the company of friends and family. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, dynamite personality, his care for others, and how he was always open to meet someone new.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rachelle Ackermann Charboneau, of Boerne, TX; parents, John and Bonnie Charboneau of Kerrville, TX; aunt & uncle, Connie and Ken Given of Fairfield, OH; cousins, Craig and Nicole Given of Ohio; father-in-law, Howard and Cathy Ackerman of New Braunfels; mother-in-law, Theresa and Steve Cady of New Braunfels; brother-in-law, Chris and Elissa Ackermann of New Braunfels; brother-in-law, Jimmy and Leah Ackermann of New Braunfels; nieces and nephews, Reagan, Shelby, Weston, and Dakotah Ackermann.
Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Friday at Zoeller Funeral Home and will continue until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Zoeller Funeral Home with Reverend Hilmar W. Stratemann officiating. Interment will follow in Jacob Weilbacher Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given in his memorial to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
