He is survived by his brothers, Burnett Wayne Avery of Temple Texas, James Ray Avery of New Braunfels, and Troy Samuel Avery and wife Mary Jane of New Braunfels. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mary Louise Spears and Laura Ethel Poe.
A public visitation for Uris will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St., New Braunfels, TX 78130, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
Uris will be laid to rest in Comal Cemetery, 301 Peace Ave, New Braunfels, Texas 78130.
