Vernon Fred Sooter Jr.

VERNON FRED SOOTER, JR. passed away at his residence on Friday, May 28, 2010 at the age of 72 in New Braunfels, Texas. Born in Dallas, Texas on April 19, 1938 to Vernon Fred, Sr. and Mable Kay Sooter.

Vernon was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cynthia Sooter; son, Michael Shawn Sooter and his parents.

Survivors include his son, Vernon Fred (Darnell) Sooter, III, two daughters Wendy (James) McGhee, and Kimberly Reynolds, and fiancé, Arlon Hermes; five grandchildren: Sean (Lauren) Moore, Patricia (John) Nielsen, Vernon Fred (Fawn) Sooter, IV, Kyle Reynolds, and April Sooter; seven great grandchildren, Lee, Katherine, Kenzie, Caitlyn, Landon, Teagen and Joseph; sister, Virginia (Robert) Jensen; two sister in laws, Sherri Hall and Vicki (Dick) Sol, and numerous other family members.

Services will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels on Wednesday, June 2nd. Visitation will begin at 9:00am, immediately followed by funeral service at 10:00am with interment to follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

Memorials may be given to Hope Hospice, American Cancer Society or Comal County Fair Association Scholarship Fund.
