It was my honor, privilege, and joy to have known Vicki for over 50 years. She was always gracious to me, when I often did not deserve grace. But she understood that grace by definition is undeserved. Perhaps it was because, I was there the chaotic night she and Chip began one of the most beautiful relationships it has been my pleasure to witness. The lesson from that is, something beautiful can emerge from chaos. Vicki exuded her love for her family in a special way, that some of us may take for granted, but for her I think there was a special meaning. I was made aware of her love for animals when Chip answered the question of "if you came back as an animal, what animal would it be", his response "that is easy, one of my wife's horses!". The loss of Vicki has touched this old man in ways that I would not have imagined.
Love to the family!

Dear Chip:

We read with great sadness of the loss of Vicki. We also viewed the tribute film of your lives together. While we have missed seeing you over the past few years, we are still nonetheless so fortunate to have had you in our lives. Looking at all the photos of your lives over the years shows a very loving and close family, something that our family has been blessed to know as well. But the photos also remind us of just how much you accomplished and how many memories you created in an all too short a span of time. Please know that we are thinking of your family and you during this time of your bereavement. May the days ahead bring new joys and good health to you and all your family.

We are so saddened to hear of Vicki's passing. Each time we think of "Chip and Vicki" (always as one), we smile with fond memories of our times together at Lake Placid. We never knew what one was going to say, but we always knew we'd probably be laughing when they said it
, and we are very glad to have had the pleasure of knowing you both. Rest in peace now, Vicki.
With love and hugs to you and your family,
Jim and Linda

I was saddened to hear of Miss Vickie's passing. She was an incredible Lady. Her kindness and love brought smiles to all that knew her. She and Chip were the greatest of friends and shared their joy with all that met them. We are all better people to have met her on our journey. God Bless Miss Vickie and the Allen Family.

My best memory of Vicki was hanging out at their bay house in Galveston. We had a lot of fun there and at holidays.
She was always great to me and I will really miss her. Chip, you, Jimmy and Tim, and the rest of the family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I have such fun and fond memories of Vicki. She and I were good friends, but unfortunately lost touch after getting married and starting our adult lives. I was one of the lucky ones who benefitted from her talent with makeup & hair!! Leslie - I miss seeing you in Wal Mart and catching up with you and Vicki's life. My most sincere condolences & prayers to you, your family, and Vicki's family.

Vicki was always one of my favorite people in high school. Her sense of humor was absolutely delightful and we were constantly "walking on the edge" with our teachers. She had a great, strong spirit and applied herself fully to whatever she did. I hadn't seen her in many years, but I will always remember her fondly - and those big, brown eyes, complimented with a beautiful grin. R.I.P., my friend.

My sister Vicki was beautiful with her big brown eyes, and was born with a natural talent for hair and makeup. She made every house a home with her keen sense of style and was a good mother to her two boys. Vicki loved animals of all kinds. As her little sister, I looked up to her, I learned from her, I loved her, and I will always miss her. She is in a better place now and finally at peace.
