Virginia Villarreal

Virginia Villarreal, 85 years old of New Braunfels, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on January 28, 2014. She was born on May 21, 1928 to Pedro Lopez and Paula (Reyes) Lopez in New Braunfels Texas where she was a life-long resident.

Virginia worked for West Point-Pepperell in the tie and filling department and enjoyed volunteering her time to many worthwhile causes.

Virginia is survived by her former husband Trinidad Villarreal; daughters, Eva Diaz and Diana Vela; sons, Trinidad Villarreal Jr., Fabian Villarreal, and Michael Villarreal; sisters, Concepcion Urdiales, Esperanza Valadez, Tomasa Lopez, Stella Monceballez, Frances Garza, Gloria Torres; brothers, Marcelino Lopez, Pedro Lopez Jr., and Joe Lopez. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grand-children.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Lopez and Paula (Reyes) Lopez; son, Anthony L. Villarreal; sisters, Guadalupe Ortiz and Janie Cantu; brothers, Feliciano Lopez, Jesse Lopez, Emiliano Lopez; and grandson, Jason Villarreal.

There will be a public visitation on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 4 PM to 9 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 10 AM at Zoeller Funeral Home with interment to follow at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in New Braunfels.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
