

Wallace N. Shaunfield born Nov 1, 1942 joined his Lord on March 2, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Preceded in death by his son Todd, Mother Dee and Father Lee. He is survived by his wife Freda of 42 years, son Scott and wife Sarah, daughters Kasey and husband Ben, Kelly and fiancé Geoff, Todd’s heartbeat – granddaughter Taylor. Grandchildren Kendall, Kayla, Connor, Cameron and wife Anna, Chris and wife Christina and Katherine and husband Thomas. Multiple great grandchildren, brother George and wife Rayna, Sister Dee Lee and husband Greg, nieces Monica, Courtney, and Gretchen nephew Kirk. Lots of devoted and loving friends.
Wally graduated from Poly High and received a B.S. degree from Texas Wesleyan in 3 years. Wally accepted Christ at the age of 12 and never faltered from his beliefs. Wally was a very independent person always having some type of job. He was an auditor for the Department of Defense and U.S. Customs where he retired in 1999. After retiring he was a customs consultant for large companies.
Wally loved any water sport such as sailing, kayaking and snorkeling. He loved traveling to the islands. He built a house which took 3 years to build. He loved all types of building.
His blood type was B+ and he always told people to “Be positive”.
In 2019 he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He felt no fear, worry or depression. He trusted God’s perfect will for his life. He fought a long battle but he wanted people to see Jesus in his journey and they did. He was loved by so many nurses and some became like family. He took his last blood transfusion on March 2 in the arms of Jesus.
He was a member of Oakwood Church and a member of Stokes Bible Study where he met so many friends he dearly loved.
