Dear Jan and Family:

I only learned today about Dr O. I am heartbroken - he was one of my most favorite people. He was so much fun to be around and always put a smile on everyone's face with his jokes. He was also a great boss! He was respected and loved by the residents he taught. They always asked about him whenever I spoke to them. I will miss him terribly! Much love to you!

Jan,

I among many have so many memories of Warren also known as Joe Jones if you need a reservation. Always had a good joke and made me laugh. He was a great teacher and surgeon. As we in Shreveport have just learned of your loss, I am sure many more will be contacting you and expressing sympathy. You and the whole family are in my prayers.

My father, James Ruemmele spoke highly of his close friendship with Warren at Hudson High School. They graduated together in the class of 1947. My Dad passed away December 30, 2012 after graduating UW Madison and farming his whole life on the family farm at Hudson. May they both rest in peace.

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved. There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time.

As Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service in defense of our rights and freedom.

His commitment to family, friends, our community, and to serving our great nation leaves a wonderful legacy. May the love and the wonderful memories you shared with him help you when you need it most. He will never be forgotten, and your family will be remembered in my prayers.
