

Will Davenport beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on April 7, 2023 in New Braunfels, Texas. Born in El Paso, Texas on November 26, 1929, Will was the son of Robert Jackson Davenport and Mary Anna Davenport (née Sibley). Will was a faithful man who loved God and his family deeply. He was married to Oleta Marie Davenport for 73 years, and together they raised six children. Will was predeceased by his sons, Jeffrey Davenport and Barry Davenport, as well as his grandson, Travis Davenport and great-grandson, Michael Summers, III. He is survived by his loving wife Oleta, his sister, Rhelda Harris of Saint Jo, Texas, and his children Karen Park of Canyon Lake, Texas, Bradley Davenport of Littlerock, California, Susan Summers of New Braunfels, Texas, and David Davenport of Chicago, Illinois. Will was also a proud grandfather to 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Will’s unwavering faith inspired those around him. He was the type of man who would pray for every single family member by name each and every day. His kindness, humility, humor and unwavering love touched countless lives, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
A memorial service to celebrate Will’s life will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at his home in New Braunfels, Texas.
