William Bill C. Briggs Jr.

William (Bill) C. Briggs Jr. , 88, of 953 S. Highway 123 Bypass, Seguin, TX, died at 10:57 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Nesbit Living Center, Seguin, TX. Born in Nescopeck, PA., August 3, 1924, he was the son of the late William C. Sr. and Mabel I. (Polk) Briggs. He resided in Seguin, TX the last 4 years, coming from Linderman Ave., Cherry Hill, NJ.

He was an Army Veteran of WWII. In the early years he was employed by Rohm & Haas, Philadelphia, PA and retired after 35 years of service.He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Merchantville, NJ. where he was a Deacon and Usher. He enjoyed fishing, collecting stamps, baseball cards, woodworking and a member of the VFW in Cherry Hill, NJ.

He was preceded in death by his sibling Lawrence D. Briggs. He is survived by his wife Nan (Lewis) Briggs of 66 years, his daughter Susan Sealy and husband Frank Sander of Marion, TX; two sisters Mrs. Calvin (Doris) Morgan of The Villages, FL. and Mrs. Ralph (Ruth) Manning of Nescopeck, PA; plus nieces and nephews.
