On Friday, September 27th, 2019, Yolanda Matula, loving wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with our Lord and savior at the age of 68.
Yolanda was born on March 23, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas to Marcelo and Maria Villalobos. She spent much of her life in the administrative support field, including time as the assistant to the director of Manufacturing at Samsung. Her passion and purpose in life were her kids and grandkids, but she also loved to travel the globe with the love of her life, Philip Matula, to places that included Alaska, Canada, Cancun, the Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Cozumel, England, France, Hawaii, Honduras, Italy, Nicaragua, Roatan, Playa de Carmen, the Virgin Islands, and Wales.
She is preceded in death by her father Marcelo Villalobos, her mother Maria Villalobos, her brother Marcelo Jr, her sister Frances Rebolloso, and last year to this day she lost the love of her life Philip Matula.
Yolanda is survived by her son Jesus Mireles, her daughters Jackie Bankes and Jennifer Sungino, her sons-in-law Eric Bankes and Ray Sungino, grandchildren Ryan Ramirez, Victoria Bankes, Jordyn Mireles, Mackenzie Bankes, Zachary Pardo, Addison Bankes, Alexis Ramirez, Olivia Sungino, Elizabeth Salazar and one great grandchild, Myles James Ramirez. Yolanda is also survived by her brother Ricardo Villalobos, sisters Margaret Zygmont and Esther Miller, sister-in-law Alicia Villalobos, brother-in-law John Miller, and numerous nieces and nephews.
